October 2007 Team of the Month

Congratulations to the
Metro East Lutheran Varsity Dancer Knights

October’s “Team of the Month” is the Varsity Dancer Knights from Metro East Lutheran High School. The Dancer Knights are comprised of 16 girls coached by Kristen Reeb. The Team performs at all home boys basketball games, some girls basketball games, Homecoming Football games, and all pep rallies.

The Dancer Knights show school spirit by wearing their warm-up jackets on game and competition days. They promote their school spirit by decorating the halls and lockers. The team is also active in the community. The girls performed and spent time with the kids at Ranken Jordan Children’s Center in St. Louis, MO. The dancers take part in multiple fundraisers such as selling butter braids, car washes, and holding a camp for ages Pre-K through 10th grade.

A tradition of this team is to have 3 sleepovers throughout the year to promote togetherness, unity as a team, and to create a circle of trust. Goals that have been established for this team, is to set a Christian example and to love every minute they get to dance, not taking it or each other for granted. The heart of a Dancer Knight is defined by their team motto, H2O.
